#asktheexperts I had my C section 10 months ago, still I feel numbness at the stiches. Is that normal

A. Hello, This is very common and normal. The numbness can be caused by the after effects of the epidural/spinal and also by nerve damage from where the belly was cut. Although some women regain feeling around their c/section scar within 4-8 weeks of birth, the majority will never regain complete. c

A. dear mom, if you have numbness near the scar then it can be because small nerve can take longer to regrow . it can take several months, that is what my doctor said as I also have the same issue. still better to confirm with your doctor also

A. hi dear mom...it's not common ..please consult your gynac for proper diagnosis and treatment . without examining you nothing can be said or advised on same. let doctor examine and guide you accordingly. happy parenting
