Q.
#asktheexperts I am not having enough milk for my baby. The more we give the more milk will be produced. I started giving more but my baby is always sleeping whenever i breast feed her. I always try her not to sleep by tickling on her feet and near ear but still she doesn't wake up. Because my milk is not going to the baby I am forced to use formula milk. Please suggest a solution for my problem.

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 6 m old boy2 years agoA. exclusive breastfeeding has to be continued till completion of 6 months of age
and you have to drink plenty of water and at least 500 ml milk everyday as well as homemade food from cereals pulses vegetable milk and zfruits daily e as well as you can go for shatavari supplement which will also help in increasing the breast milk formation (eg lactonic granules, galact granules etc )
also take zmultivitamins iron calcium and vitamin d along with folic acid. follow all this steps to increase breast milk formation.
