#asktheexperts i am a new mom my baby is 40 days old and i got little cold and cough does this spread to mbaby as i breast feed her

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children2 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant brgconchodilators or antritussives medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough.
if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

It is not going to happen because you are a breastfeeding mother it can only happen that if you do not take per proper precautions when you are feeding the child because a child is very fragile at this time there immunity is very poor Sudhir Ka Chand an infection Jolly very fast so that’s the only thing that you have to take care of and take proper medication so that you also becomes fine and continue feeding their child without any Asha La search
