Q.
As a mother, i caught cold and cough.. will it spread to my baby too?? as am breastfeeding. Also i had taken okacet tablet, will it effect my baby?? Please clarify.

Cold is most of the time because of viral illness and if the child is having recurrent running nose and nasal congestion it may be a part of allergic rhinitis also so it needs a proper examination. steam inhalation will be beneficial in both the cases along with decongestant medicine like alex cold/ hatric 3/ sinarest. As a part of viral illness there could be associated symptoms like cough and fever which needs treatmttent accordingly along with a proper hydration needs to be maintained .

Nope It is not going to affect your child in any manner if you’re having cold and cough you know it would be better that you use a mask whenever you are breastfeeding your child so that you do not transmit your affection to the child that way but in terms of breastfeeding nothing is going to happen
