#asktheexperts i am 30 weeks pregnant and developed anxiety with panic attacks . Consulated a psychiatrist and he has given me antidepressants related to my symptoms. will that affect the baby now?? and in long term as well?

Yes Ma’am if you continue to take it for a long duration right now or maybe after post part time it can have impact on your health as well as on the child it’s not a very good thing to be taken for a longer duration so try to do meditation and some things which are going to help in getting rid of the anxiety that you have tried to find a root cause and talk to a psychologist regarding that

A. Hey, I have been there. I also had depression and anxiety attacks. I used to cry alot and I spent most of my time sitting in my balcony. But this is just a phase. Try to meditate, watch your favourite movie, listen to songs. Go on a night walk. Talk to your friends over call. This is the most precious time you will never get for yourself again till few years. Listen to Krishna bhajans. Try to ignore medicine for depression. It’s not good.
