#asktheexperts hey sir my baby is suffering from cough and cold so his dctr prescribed maxtra syrup for him but accidentally i gave him 2 ml of bro zedex (elder's cough syrup) what to do ?i m worried

A. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful . cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronyuchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough. if fever is vthere paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

A. This He is quite heavy that you have given so I think because of the paracetamol in the medicine your child is probably going to sleep for a longer duration apart from that hopefully nothing should go wrong with the child
