#asktheexperts Hey doctor,I am 28 weeks and 6days pregnant,I have a 5 years old son and I had to deliver him through C-section,so it is possible for me to have a VBAC this time ??? and is it safe

A. if you had a previous ceasarean section, it is recommended not to go for normal delivery even after a long gap as there are risk factors of uterine rupture, which may cause severe complications to mother as well as baby Only if in case your doctor is very confident about the scar thickness of your previous C-section and if all the conditions are good enough , you can go for a trial for normal delivery. hi

A. Hello dear parent, since you are pregnant would suggest you to kindly stay in touch with your gynaecologist. As she knows your case well and would guide you based on your health. Do not worry much. Eat right and healthy diet. Drink lots of water. Good luck and take care
