#asktheexperts Hello Sir , My baby is 16 months old , Dec 9th we went to shirdi , after coming from shirdi she caught with severe cheston cold, we took her to doctor he said it's viral infection it takes time to recover , even now she's suffering from cough , sometimes she'll eat , sometimes she'll not show interest to eat food . Please recommend any syrup to boost her immunity and one more question I'm breastfeeding her ,when should I stop it ,is there any medicine for that .

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children2 years agoA. Cough and Cold along with the symptom like Fever loss of appetite irritability could be a feature of virbial infection or seasonal flu where most of the time supportive treatment is given.
along with that cough ehxpectorant and decongestant with antiallergic medicine given.
steam inhalation can be given frequently to relieve the symptoms.
