Q.

#asktheexperts hello,my baby is 1month old she is having red small pimples somthing on her face and neck. and she got BCG vaccine and vaccine site had pus in it which discharged. should we check with doc or wait for it to heal itself.

A. mostly it's abscess It's hard to comment upon without proper examination it would be better if you consult your doctor for proper examination and medication maintain hygeine in the area clean with Luke warm water maintain hydration and keep a track on urine output

A. There are some rare side effects associated with the BCG vaccine. If any of the following occur, see your GP: A large abscess (collection of pus) at the injection site. Tenderness and swelling under the left arm – this could indicate an infection of the glands (called the axillary lymph nodes).
