A. recurrent loose motion If baby is active and playful, no fever, passing adequate urine ie. minimum 6-8 times per day, then no need to worry for motion ( once in 2-3 days or 5-6 times per day- both conditions normal).    Don't give so much importance to motion unless blood in motion or bad smelling motion or white colour motion.  Keep ur baby well hydrated  Continue to give breast feed as well, till 1.5 yrs of age. Continue to give water and all other food items as before(no food restrictions).  Wait for some more days  Everything will be alright.  If blood in motion/persistant foul smelling motion or less urine output then consult with ur nearest pediatrician,  He will giude you in a better way

A. Frequent loose motions in young children can be concerning. Here are some steps you can take: 1. **Hydration:** Ensure your child stays well-hydrated. Offer oral rehydration solutions (ORS) to prevent dehydration. 2. **Diet:** Avoid giving your child dairy products, sugary foods, and juices, as they can worsen diarrhea. Stick to bland foods like rice, bananas, applesauce, and toast (BRAT diet). 3. **Probiotics:** These can help restore the natural balance of bacteria in the gut. Consult your pediatrician before giving any supplements. 4. **Hygiene:** Ensure proper hygiene to prevent any infections. Wash your hands and your child’s hands frequently. 5. **Monitor:** Keep an eye on your child for signs of dehydration (dry mouth, no tears when crying, sunken eyes, lethargy) and note the frequency and consistency of the stools. **Consult your Pediatrician:** - If the diarrhea persists for more than a few days. - If your child shows signs of dehydration. - If there is blood or mucus in the stool. - If your child has a high fever. Your pediatrician can determine if the cause is dietary, an infection, or another underlying condition and provide appropriate treatment.
