#asktheexperts baby has cough & cold. plz advice some medicine.

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should gobe given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough.
if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

RashmiMom of a 11 yr 1 m old girl4 years agoA. The Baby is too small I’m not going to advise you with any medicine as of now please consult your doctor for a checkup and then go ahead with the medicines prescribed by your doctor as of now you can just give indirect steam to the child twice a day
