#asktheexperts 2 and half month old my baby boy is spitting water is it normal or of any concern Pls do suggest ??

A. Hello, baby spitting up clear liquid is normal in most cases. When the liquid is clear, then it is saliva, but a translucent white can be formula or breast milk. In both the case it is normal. Keep your baby in an upright posi tion after feeding. Remember to always burp your baby Watch what you eat. Sometimes certain foods, like spicy foods, cause your baby to have more gas. As a result, they might spit up more often.

A. Hello dear Yes, but not of the H2O variety. Your little one — if under 6 months old — should be receiving both nutrition and hydration from breast milk or formula, not water. You probably know this, but you might not know why. It's because babies' bodies aren't suited for water until several months after birth.
