#asktheexpert Why my baby makes sound of 'ghr ghr' which looks like he is having cold or cough but when I visited doc they said his chest is clear

Author of questionMom of 3 children1 Year agoA. thank you for your response but he is not having cold or cough as doctors checked him and said his chest is clear that's why I am unable to understand why this sound comes

Hello there ma’am please do not worry about it too much. nasal saline drops can be given again and again to the child because it is salt water which will help in decreasing the nasal blockage by clearing the mucus try to prevent temperature variations around the child which is the most common cause of cough and cold in small children.can give indirect steam inshalation . anti-cold medicines at this age have got side effects so can be given only after medical consultation. You can also rub Vicks Vaporub on baby clothes near chest area. Thanks and take care
