Q.
#AskTheExpert sir my son is having cold and cough since 1 week.We are giving him Ascoril LS syrup and Levolin neb .No improvement

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medtticine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough.h
if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

Consult with your doctor in person for proper physical examination and treatment see your own treating doctor can guide you more and can solve your problems
Give turmeric milk twice daily
Maintain hydration
Stay hydrated healthy
