#AskTheExpert sir my baby is 19 months old and he is suffering from constipation by birth, what should I do for him that he don't have constipation?

A. Your child is having constipation for which kindly give plenty of water to drink and fibre diet made from cereals pulses vegetables and fruits. Changes in diet has to be made Specially give papaya, banana, oats, fennel seeds water pear, prune, pineapple, resins, plum as it will help in decreasing constipation. Even after that the problem continues kindly meet your doctor for constipation medicine. it is important for for you to know that the problem of constipation will improve with increasing age of the child. You may increase or decrease the dosage of constipation medicine if needed according to the consistency of the stool.

A. Hello there ma’am please do not worry about it too much and please give your baby prune juice on daily basis as it is very effective in constipation and also you should give your baby more rich fibre diet and liquid intake should be increased. Take care
