Q.

#AskTheExpert one of my twin daughters has caught cold which is severe .. doctor advised to start antibiotics... yesterday we started antibiotic...it has been 2 days but still it is not subsided...she is struggling a lot .I'm very much worried..will it be normal allergic rhinitis or anything other than that???

A. Cold is a viral illness and symptoms could be sneezing, running nose, cough sore throat, nasal congestion and fever. Treatment consists of antihistamines antipyretics analgesics and decongestants . steam inhalation would be beneficial . Medicines like sinarest/wikoryl / Alex cold can be given in a proper dos doe according to the weight for 3-5 days as per the symptoms .
