#AskTheExpert Now my daughter is 5 yrs 9 months old. can i still get her MMR vaccine 2 nd dosage done now??

A. yes can give mmr stands for measles mumps and rubella. you have to give three dosage of this vaccine at 9 months of age then at 15 months of age and at 5 years of age. vitamin a is usually given along with mmr vaccine. at present government covers only mr vaccine while in private mmr vaccine is available. mr vaccine stands for measles and rubella. at present in government set up only mr vaccine so mumps is not covered in mr vaccine.

A. Children should get two doses of MMR vaccine, starting with the first dose at 12 to 15 months of age, and the second dose at 4 through 6 years of age.
