#asktheexpert My toddler (3 years) is not pooping for 5-6 days as he is holding it back, we have tried everything like laxatives but still he is holding it back as long as he can. Presently we are using suppository for him after 4-5 days. please help!

A. hi dear Some babies do not develop a bowel movement (BM) pattern for a while. An infant's BM pattern can change if their diet changes, like switching from breastmilk to formula, starting solid foods, or drinking less formula than usual. If your baby's stool (poop) is not soft or easily passed, then they may be constipated.
