Q.

#AskTheExpert my soon to be 1 year old boy swallowed bath water through nose and mouth. the next day he developed a fever, can the water be the cause of his fever. medicines are not reducing his fever. he is very cranky and dull. thank you

A. These kind of fever are usually Viral in nature . You must give paracetamol containing medicine to baby at 6 hourly for 1 day, if fever does come down to base line you must add meftal p syrup for that spike.you can do tepid sponging with Luke warm water.
