Q.

#AskTheExpert My son who is currently 1yr 2 months gets diaper rash very frequently. What can help to soothe the diaper rash as himalaya rash cream doesn't help much plus only applying powder is not helpful. Even I have included diaper free time for my baby but no improvement.

A. Diapers are safe if you Maintain precaution. It is important to change diapers every two to three hours. Keeping the baby longer than this period with a used diaper can cause infections or rashes. When the baby passes stool, then it is a must to change the diaper immediately to maintain hygiene. After removing the diaper, don’t make your baby wear another diaper immediately. Allow his skin to breathe, let it be free for some time. Avoid diapers and apply coconut oil before using cloth diapers. Clean your baby’s skin with baby wipes or cloth after removing the diaper. You can apply any of -candid cream, or eazynappy cream, Sofirash cream or Himalaya's diaper rashe cream. All these help in curing rashes. maintain good hygiene.
