#AskTheExpert My son's vaccinations are due after 1 year, he is now 2 yrs old. Can we take vaccinations now?

A. Influenza vaccine or the flu vaccine is basically a vaccine which protects against different strains of flu viruses including swine Flu virus which causes symptoms specially in children because of less immunity. Though it is not a mandatory vaccine but it should be given to every child to protect against different flu infection which is very common every year . this vaccine is given after 6 months of age and initially two doses are given one month apart then every year single dose is required . It is notd documented but still studies suggest that to some extent it may give partial protection against covid infection .
