#AskTheExpert my son is suffering from fever from last 2 day at every 4 hour fever become increase he is drinking water very much but feeling thirsty. i gave him sumol ds at every 4 hour but fever not going properly. he is sweating but temperature remain more than 100.

A. Fever is a response of the body to any kind of infection or any inflammatory process in body so you can give paracetamol in a dose of 15 mg/kg/dose as the firfcst line treatment also this dose can be again repeated after every 5 to 6 hours if fever igs repeating. and you can also do cold sponging of the body if required
