#asktheexpert my son is 7 month old.. i started solid after 6 month.. by he goes poo for 6-7 times sometimes even more.. hav to take concern for it or its normal

A. It is common for some babies to pass stool more frequently after starting solids, especially as their digestive system adjusts to new foods. Passing stool 6–7 times a day occasionally can be normal, especially if the stool is soft and the baby is otherwise active, feeding well, gaining weight, and not showing signs of dehydration or discomfort. However, if the stool is watery, contains mucus or blood, or the baby seems irritable or has diaper rashes, it’s best to consult a pediatrician to rule out food sensitivity or infection. To help, introduce new foods slowly—one at a time—and watch how your baby reacts.
