#AskTheExpert my son is 3.5months old...he wan us to to make him stand for long times...he is laying and playing on his back..often he want us to go outdoor and hold him in his hands.....he enjoy in holding position...but when we place him on the floor on his he cry a lot and lot...what to do now

meeta agarwalMom of 2 children4 years agoA. Hello mommy, He's not trying to walk, it's just basic instincts kicking in . For now, his legs aren't nearly strong enough for him to stand. This reflex will disappear after a couple of months . At three months this reflex has been replaced and your baby will be starting to put weight through his legs.
Check Point. Once your baby can hold her head up on her own (usually around three to four months), you can sit her in a supportive chair like a Bumbo seat. Just be sure to always watch your baby while in the Bumbo seat or something similar. You can also use pillows to support your baby and help her sit up.
