#asktheexpert my son is 20 months old, he understands everything but he is not much vocal, as he only speaks few words e.g mumma, papa,mum mum, meow, bebe, ba, dada, kaka that when we insist. he is not speaking any sentence yet is that we need to worry or any test is recommended. please notes he is very much intellectual

Your child is only one year eight months old child is speaking quite good as of now I would just say so do not worry about it at this age kids don’t frame sentences they don’t even have the sense of connecting to words together so don’t worry slowly your child vocabulary is going to be better what you can do is try to communicate more with your child don’t give any screen time that’s going to be helpful one-on-one conversation always helps
