Q.

#AskTheExpert my son has recently undergone a heart surgery and also is a down syndrome child. is there any special care that I should take of him? he is 8 months old and he cant even sit properly. he is very weak and his weight is not increasing as well. what should I feed him? he drinks my milk only.

A. Hello mom let Him take as much he can don’t force him to , also the doctor might have prescribed some supplements if so do please give it . Also you may gradually start with some liquids and then semi Solids and soft food consistency. You can give some mashed vegetables, fruit purée , some kichidi , porridge etc which are easy to take in as well . But as he is comfortable taking your feed for try giving it the priority as that has the best antibodies that help him to recover but solids are also essential for their over all growth
