#AskTheExpert My son Damien who is 18 months old has been touching the belly button quite frequently in the last 2-3 weeks. Some times in the night he wakes up crying and his finger will be at the belly button. Could it be due to some kind of itching or discomfort?

well ,it could be itching or infection too
so first whenever your child does this ,try to distract your child by giving toys or activities.
apply thin layer of coconut oil on this part.
keep that area clean by using gentle wipes.
I would suggest to use Babyhug wipes .
choose loose Cotton clothes for your child.
visit your pediatrician for once.
