Q.

#AskTheExpert my newborn had high TSH level while birth..she has been advised to take thyroxine(25mg)..her thyroid ultrasound is yet to be done...at what month should be the scanning is done?? And will she lead a normal life after growing ??

A. If she in fact gets congenital hypothyroidism then giving the medication on a daily basis should be able to help her because it was identified at an early basis before any manifestations showed up so she should not have any problem as long as she’s taking those medications. still talk to your treating pediatrician because they examined the baby and they will know betterWrite Your Answer Here
