If a newborn has a preauricular skin tag, it is usually nothing to worry about. However, it's always a good idea to have a healthcare provider, such as a pediatrician or a dermatologist, examine the skin tag to confirm the diagnosis and rule out any underlying conditions.
In most cases, preauricular skin tags do not require any treatment. If the skin tag is causing any issues, such as irritation or discomfort, or if there are concerns about its appearance, it can be easily removed by a healthcare provider through a simple and quick procedure
