#AskTheExpert my kid is 1.5 yrs old n he is eating mud,walls,cardboard,pencils etc...why n what to do??plz help

A. Hello, It seems like 'Pica'. Pica is an eating disorder that is quite common among young ones..The disorder is defined as persistent and compulsive cravings to eat nonfood items....It is due to calcium or iron deficiency in babies... kindly do check your paedritician and management accordingly.

A. Hello there ma’am please do not worry about it too much and it is quite normal in babies and please evaluate your baby once with doctor in person as it may be deficiency of calcium and iron and also divert baby mind when baby tries to eat these. Take care
