it also depends upon the diet the child is taking.

the child shouldv be given different flavours and recipes made from cereals pulses vegetable milk and fruits daily in small amount.
you can add ghee groundnuts dryfruits in the diet and this will help in improving the weight of the child.

give three proper meals and two mid meals in a day but do not force feed the baby just to increase weight.
offer different varieties of food to the baby.
