you have to provide plenty of water to drink and you can give food rich in fluids as well as juice extracted from fruits which will help in improving the appetite.
if if the child is having nutritional deficiency the doctor will add multivitamin supplements to increase the appetite.
it is important to continue the regular diet of the child and the diet during cough and cold will not change much. but it is always advisable to give easily digestible food and do not force the child for food and if the child is taking around 60% to 70% of the diet then also it's fine.
during cough and cold it is important to give plenty of fluids and water to the child which will hedlp in recovery and also citrus fruits are advisable.
diet to avoid
biscuits, maida, ice creams, cold food items, chocolate, chips and any pdacket food, sweet sugary item, cakes , cookies.
