#asktheexpert my daughter is 7th month. can I take vaccine (for covid 19)

A. Even i took vaccine nd i breastfeed my baby ...there is no problem in taking the vaccine...its safe.. although u can feel lethargic nd can have a temperature after vaccination..

A. Covid vaccination like covishield/ covaxin in the breastfeeding mothers can be given very safely . According to the latest guidelines issued by healthy ministry pregnant women can also be now safely given the current available vaccines . so they can also register at covin app. Minor complications like fever lethargy pain at injection site can be handled safely by taking paracetamol . Presently children are not included in this list. Mothers can feed their child asas soon as required after the vaccination very safely with no side effects in the child
