#AskTheExpert My daughter is 2 years old and is having constipation issues. she doesn't eat regularly. on thyroid profile T3 is higher ...t4 and tsh is normal. what to do... please help

A. Constipation is usually a very common problem seen in many where the most important causative factor is decrease intake fiber rich diet along with lesser fluijgd intake. some food like junk food mostly containing maida and oily food can aggravate such condition. here the diet modification should be tried first followed by medications like lactulose milk of magnesia and muout powder.

A. Foods high in fiber and whole grains help keep the bowel happy by moving food through the digestive tract at a steady pace. So make sure your child noshes on fiber-rich fruits (apples and pears are great options), vegetables (especially raw) and whole grains (such as oats, millet and barley).
