Q.

#asktheexpert my daughter is 1 month old she feeds only for 10 mins and then sleep ..during the day she wakes up whenever she is hungry but at night I have to wake her up after every 3-4 hours. is it normal and she has nasal congestion

A. for making the child sleep you can do the following things you can swaddle the child to make the child comfortable you can sing a song / lullaby you can use a cradle or swing you can go for a car ride with the child keeping the child on yourx shoulder you can walk briskly you can keep the child in between both the legs and gently swing the legs both sides. sleeping pattern gradually improves with increasing age of the child .

A. There is no problem with the nasal congestion you can use nasal drops about 3 to 4 times in the day the gap of six hours other than that in the night of of the child is leaving peacefully at the stretch for longer duration there is no need to force your child to take a feed it’s a very natural thing for them to sleep for longer duration
