Q.

#asktheexpert my child is having hfm disease which is common in this monsoon season hfm disease is common in age of child between 1 to 5 years .what precautions just parents should do to protect there child? and if any anyone child have that disease what should a parent do ? is it same like chickenpox? please tell us some name of disease which is common in children this rainy season?

A. not it is not chickenpox hand and foot and mouth disease is a self limiting viral infection. commonly seen is viral red eruptions on the skin mainly on the joints of the body and on the bums and around the mouth and there are ulcers in the oral cavity. only sametomatic treatment is given for fever as well as for pain and itchinxg and oral ulcers and the disease usually resolves maximum by 1 to 1 and half weeks. meet your doctor for more information regarding this disease
