#asktheexpert my child is 5.5 months old not gaining adequate weight what shd i do start her on solids ?

baby should gain at least 500 gram per month and should double the birth weight by 6 months or less
have frequent skin to skin contact,
at one time feed from only one breast so that baby receives fat rich hindmilk which will help in weight gain
ensure that baby latches properly during breastfeeding.
