AnujaMom of a 4 yr 3 m old boy1 Year agoA. Hi. Please make sure your toddler is eating properly at night so that they sleep well with a full tummy. Don't encourage giving them milk/ food when they wake up at night time so that they learn to fall back asleep.
The room should have dark out curtains, white noise, temperature should be cool as all these things help any person go to sleep more easily(give a quick bath before sleep to bring body temperature down, in summers). No screen time 2 hrs before sleeping for everyone in the house will set a good precedent for your toddler. If possible keep your toddler in their own room with baby monitor to track them through out so that their sleep is not interrupted by your schedule. They need to sleep for at least 10-12 hrs at night. Follow the natural circadian rhythm and put your toddler to sleep by 7 pm at night as the melatonin kicks in at dusk and your child will sleep way better during 7pm to 7am.
Read the book"Sleep baby sleep" on Kindle for further information.
Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children1 Year agoA. Sleeping pattern in children may be variable in different age group so if the baby is active and taking proper feeding with no other complaints most of the time there is nothing to worry.
You have to just see the child should not be uncomfortable which may be because of factors like temperature of the room nasal blockage some discomfort like infantile colic or hunger.nji
In older children a proper discipline is required so that the sleeping pattern can be scheduled according to a proper time try to avoid too much of screen time with sometimes can be the causative factor for disturbed sleep.
