A. It’s perfectly normal for some babies to start teething a little later. While many babies get their first tooth between 6 to 10 months, others may not get teeth until after 12 months. Since your baby just turned 9 months, there's usually no need to worry. Teething is influenced by genetics, so if you or close family members were late teethers, your baby might be too. In the meantime, ensure your baby is getting enough calcium and a balanced diet if eating solids. If no teeth appear by 15 months or if you notice anything unusual with the gums, consult your pediatrician or a pediatric dentist.
