Hydration is key – Offer more breastmilk or formula frequently to prevent dehydration. Avoid new foods – If you’ve recently introduced solids, stop them temporarily and stick to breastmilk/formula. Observe for signs of dehydration – Such as dry mouth, sunken eyes, reduced urine, or unusual sleepiness. Keep hygiene in check – Wash hands often and keep feeding utensils clean.
If the watery stools continue beyond 2–3 days, or if your baby has fever, blood in stool, vomiting, or signs of dehydration, consult a pediatrician immediately.
