Q.

#asktheexpert My baby is 4 months old and recently he started holding his neck. But I noticed that it is slightly tilted on left. He is able to move his neck left and right while on back or during tummy time. I am not sure if he is having Torticollis or he still need more time to hold his neck properly. Is there any specific action or exercise is needed?

A. neck holding of the child should be present by 4 months to maximum 5 months of age. regular massage of the back as well as the neck will help in strengthening the mzuscles of this area. if neck holding and head holding is not proper by the end of 5 months it is important to meet the doctor for examination to find the cause of delayed milestones

A. In this here it is very difficult to comment properly until a proper examination or assessment is done to find out the exact cause so it is advisable to consult your doctor so that he could examine and evaluate properly and will guide you accordingyyly for this .
