#asktheexpert My baby is 3 month 15 days old . I m seeing some blackish skin in her nappy area. I m using continuous diaper on her. Is it because of that? What is the remedy for it. Will it go once the baby stop wearing diaper or it have some permanent effect. Help me

POOJA GOSWAMIMom of a 10 yr 6 m old girl4 years agoA. Yes, the change in skin color in the lower area of baby is due to regular use of diapers. If not taken care of, it might take longer to get rid of this black skin color. So, once you put on the diaper, apply coconut oil will will reduce friction. Also, limit its usage and keep the lower part open for sometime during the day for skin to breathe and keep it clean and dry. Accumulation of moisture may also result in rashes.
