#asktheexpert my baby is 1year 8days old now i wantbto weaning him bcz i m expecting mom now but last one week my baby feeding continiously sucking at night and when he will sleep... when i tried to stopped him he wokeup and became cranky i dont know what i do now and he efused all type milk please suggest something for weaning him at night or day

ExpertDr Priyanka KalraObstetrician and Gynaecologist3 years agoA. it takes time. try cow milk.See in such cases the child needs specialist care always. So try to follow with the same doctor and do not get anxious with s variety of opinion. Focus on treatment ok.

I am your baby is more than one year old so you should definitely stop midnight feeding. Baby should take heavy meals before baby go to sleep and next meal should be given only in the morning. If you will continue doing it then baby will stop taking breast milk by its own in next few days
