#AskTheExpert my baby is 15 days old , he got watery eyes which then converted into yellow glued around eyes . is it normal ? or there is some medications needed?

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. Eye Redness is commonly seen because of some allergic condition , infection or any trauma which nefreds proper examination. if it is associated with some discharge it could be infection but no self medication should be used.

Yes this is normal due to the blocked tear duct. This will open on its own as the baby grows up. So no need to worry. Clean the eyes with cotton dipped and squeezed in lukewarm water take care
