reduce intake of table sugar
control consumption of high fats, high sugar and salt food especially processed packed, junk food.
do not restrict healthy food especially fruits and vegetables
avoid juices, instead give whole fruit.
use whole pulses, coarse grains
do not restrict fat intake as it is required for growth but control intake of fried food even at home
give healthy fats from walnut, almond, peanuts
encourage good water intake
encourage child to engage in outdoor physical activity.
avoid eating in front of television
