A. If your 11-month-old baby has had a runny nose for a month, it could be due to a persistent viral cold, allergies, or other underlying causes. While colds can last up to a few weeks, a month-long runny nose might suggest that the issue isn't clearing up as expected. Here's what you can do: What You Can Do: Keep him hydrated – Offer breast milk or formula regularly to prevent dehydration and help with recovery. Use a saline nasal spray – This can help clear congestion and soothe the nasal passages. Warm steam – You can place your baby in a steamy bathroom for 10–15 minutes to help relieve congestion. Elevate the head while sleeping – Slightly raise the head of the crib to help with easier breathing. Humidifier – Using a humidifier in the baby’s room can prevent the air from becoming too dry, which may help alleviate the runny nose. If the runny nose is accompanied by persistent fever, irritability, coughing, or difficulty breathing, or if it doesn't improve after a week, consult a pediatrician. It could be a sign of a secondary infection like sinusitis or other respiratory issues.
