Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. growth of the child can be ensured by fulfillment of proper nutritional requirement specially iron and vit D is required for better growth and cognition.one should ensure that the child should get a proper balanced diet which contains all types of micro and macronutrients essential for growth.
any kind of infection specially any chronic infection should be ruled out and treated which may hamper the growth otherwise.
after 2 years of age you can give some powder like nangro/ prohance junior mixed with milk twice a day for one or two months but any health drink is not recommended before two yrs of age.u can add flavours also to milk. avoid giving too much of milk otherwise it may hampefr the hunger of the baby and the baby may not be taking interest in having other variety of food .and opposite to that if the babiy is not taking milk properly the dairy products will be a good substitute like curd, paneer n cheese etc.
