Q.
#asktheexpert my 6 months baby has got congestion in chest due to cold and cough.. please suggest !

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 6 m old boy1 Year agoA. give nasal saline drops every few hourly to the child in the nasal cavity. try to prevent temperature variations around the child you can go for indirect steam inhalation which will again help in decreasing both cough and cold continue the regular diet of the child if there is no improvement in few days then meet your doctor for fever and pain give paracetamol. anti-cold medicines at this age have got side effects so can be given only after medical consultation. if it is not improving better to meet the doctor

SanthoshiMom of 2 children1 Year agoA. You can add tulsi leaves to warm coconut oil and apply to baby's chest sole and back. Keep baby warm too. Also feed your baby frequently it may help. See doctor if needed. Keep your Baby hydrated take care see doctor too
