#AskTheExpert my 5 weeks 5 days twin babies (boy and girl) are suffering with cold, nose blockage from past 6 days. still didn't started any medication. any advice to get relief from it.

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cold is most of the time because of some viral infection or allergic condition and symptoms are usually sneezing, running nose, nasal congestion and fever. cough along with throat irritation are usually associated .
Treatment consists of antiallergic antipyretics analgesics and decongestants medicine .
As a home remedy steam inhalation would be very uguseful .
Medicines like wikoryl / tminic / Alex cold can be used in a proper dose for 3-5 days as per tfhe symptoms .
Steam inhalation is repeated frequently .

some home remedies and suggestion
keep a bowl of chopped onion near her bed approx five feet far over night
don't expose her to winds and dust
take sunbathing daily with her head and ears covered in the morning
breast feed her well
mom should take simply purified water having tds higher than 350
