#AskTheExpert my 5 months old doesn't drink milk since birth we have to do lots of struggle to feed her. what to do

A. Weaning food can be started from 5-6 months of age and in that initially in the stage 1 you can introduce some semi solid food to the baby like Banana mango plum boiled Apple and then gradually you can start with some Puri of carrot potato other foods which can be given are porridge of suji e sabudana can be prepared in breast milk or formula milk. initially you can start with one or two tsp which can be gradually incvreased up tiill at least three meals in a day

Hi mommy There may be latching problem or less milk Give adequate feeding Wash hands often before touching your baby Take healthy protein rich nutritious food fruits vegetables pulses whole grains milk products to increase your milk More sucking leads to more milk Give ultra D3 drops and calcium supplements
